So much for my grand idea for doing a blog a month!!!
So sorry for overpromising and under delivering on this particular aspect. So much has happened since last we spoke, so I guess I should go back a bit and get you all caught up on the highs and lows for the last quarter of 2025...
I believe the last time we shared some time was when I came back from Northern Lights Music Camp and Festival, which as always is the highlight of my summer. I spent September and early October preparing for the Change Leadership Retreat which went ahead with 6 participants. I fretted that I might underdeliver so wound up packing the weekend so full of information that it definitely overdelivered according to participants. (this will be important later) I began prepping for the spring retreat quickly with lots of enthusiasm for the success of the event.
Late October and November brought the realities of our current economic reality home to roost and I found myself struggling to fill my treatment schedule. I understood completely, when it is a struggle to put food on the table, self care becomes a luxury that can be cut from the budget, especially with Christmas coming. Combined with the lack of available benefits left for the year, many people just postponed their regular treatments into the new year when their benefits reset. I instead turned to my workshops to try to balance out the income levels and started a Reiki workshop to continue to offer my best knowledge to my community. As well, I have also begun working more with my coaching clients and am finding great satisfaction in helping people find their path and providing the tools and knowledge that they need to achieve their success.
At the end of November I had eye surgery which had a fundamental change to my life and outlook (pun intended) It took a couple of weeks to adjust to having such a drastic change in my vision(definitely need new glasses now!)I am pretty sure I stubbed every one of my toes in that first couple of weeks due to completely rearranged spatial perception and I was off the computer for a few more weeks after that, trying to find a way to be able to see what I am doing on-screen.
During that time, I took the feedback I received from the retreat and began redesigning my coaching/leadership program. I have broken the program into 8 stand alone modules, each subject is a three hour workshop that is not dependent on any of the other modules for understanding. I am currently looking for a meeting space that I can run consecutive bi weekly workshops (2 per month) throughout the year and therefore participants can start at whatever workshop is being offered and will have an opportunity to take all modules over the course of a few months or a year, or just those subjects that they want to update or refresh their skills in. The flexible style of the program will allow for participants to be able to learn at their own pace and encourage skills development in a variety of management, change and lifestyle adaptations. Next week, I am continuing to look at various locations to find just the right space. Watch for my upcoming announcement regarding the launch of the program, coming very soon, once I get the location locked in. I am hoping to host my first workshop in early February so want to get my little ducks in a row as soon as possible.
Well, my lovelies, I think that is all the news that's fit to print. If you have read it all the way to here, I thank you very much for sticking with me, sharing my ups and downs, laughing along with me at all the strange and wonderful turns my life seems to take. I wont promise you monthly blogs (as you have seen already, I will fail) but I will promise to update you as things come to fruition, plans unfold, and of course whatever surprises are thrown my way...because what is life without a few twists now and then??
Be well and Take care of each other
